MLS Students Volunteering in Community
Abrar University is proud to recognize the outstanding contribution of our Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program students, who have significantly impacted their village in Wanlaweyn, Somalia. The students have demonstrated exemplary dedication and commitment to serving their community by conducting laboratory analyses for local students.
Upon returning to their village during a break from their studies, the students noticed limited access to essential medical services, particularly in laboratory diagnostics. Despite the limited resources and facilities available, the students could conduct basic laboratory tests.
The impact of the students’ efforts has been profound, as many students who previously had limited access to medical diagnostics are now able to receive essential laboratory testing.
The students’ dedication and selfless service have set a positive example for their peers and community members, demonstrating the transformative power of education and the importance of giving back to one’s community.
Abrar University commends the students for their exceptional commitment to making a difference in their village and for embodying the university’s values of service, compassion, and leadership. Their actions exemplify the university’s mission to nurture socially responsible graduates who are dedicated to improving the well-being of their communities.
