Objective of the Conference
- To provide a forum for sharing current research outputs and engaging in dialogue on fostering One Health actions and mobilising Somalia and the international community to accelerate the implementation of Quadripartite (FAO, UNEP, WHO, and WOAH) One Health Joint Plan of Action (OH JPA) and other existing initiatives, while anchoring the dialogue in promoting local, national, multi-sector, multidisciplinary collaboration, learning, and exchange of knowledge, solutions, and technologies.
- To raise awareness of the One Health approach and its significance in improving the health of humans, animals, plants, and the environment, thereby contributing to global health security and sustainable economic development.
- To highlight the work that has been done and recognise what remains to be done by the government, universities, international organisations, corporates, civil society, and religious scholars to advance One Health meaningfully.
- To generate policy briefs that will strengthen the capacity of governments and development partners to design and implement policies and programmes that significantly reduce the risk and impact of health threats at the human-animal-plant-environment interface.

Objective of the Conference
Somali One Health Conference aims to bring scientists of different generations and disciplines professionals, and policymakers to exchange and share their knowledge, research innovations, and discuss future perspectives of One Health aspects in Somalia. It also aims to enhance collaboration and networking among individuals and institutions working on One Health issue.
