2nd Somali One Health Conference
The Somali One Health Conference is a biennial conference organised by the Somali One Health Centre of Abrar University that is dedicated to expanding the One Health knowledge and actions in Somalia and beyond through state-of-the-art scientific initiatives, evidence-based policies, and working together with a common vision to accelerate efforts towards national development plans, the African Agenda 2063, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

HE. Abdirahman Mohamud Abdulle Jaabir acknowledged the role of Abrar University and other universities in serving the Somali community with improved quality education and research. He also added that One Health improves community health through the prevention and control of health hazards. He also emphasized increasing researches in Somalia and advised that higher education deserves special attention from Somali policymakers.
President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud highlighted that the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education and the Universities improved the higher education sector of Somalia. Noting the continuing research dissemination and community awareness-raising for better health and livelihood, President Hassan congratulated Abrar University for initiating the One Health in Action in Somalia and encouraged other universities to support this initiative and avoid overlapping.
