World Malaria Day is marked annually on 25 April to raise awareness about malaria and how to eradicate this life-threatening disease from the globe. Although there are limited national data and statistics on the burden of malaria in Somalia, it is considered a major public health problem in the country.
World Malaria Day at Abrar University – 2022 educates participants on the current situation of Malaria in Somalia with the challenges in the diagnosis and treatment to contribute toward eliminating malaria in Somalia. The event was jointly organized by the Somali One Health Centre of Abrar University and Nova Diagnostics and Research in Mogadishu, Somalia.
