AU’s contribution towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
Abrar University (AU) is dedicated to contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. The university has been actively working towards integrating the SDGs and the African Agenda 2063 into its core activities of Learning, Teaching and Research and community programmes to address global challenges and promote sustainable development.
In terms of SDG performance, Abrar University has made significant strides in SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 & 17.
Abrar University has been committed to promoting good health and well-being among its students, faculty, staff and community. The university has implemented various health and wellness programs, including mental health awareness campaigns; free screening of Hepatitis B and C and Subsidized Vaccination, access to counseling services, and promoting a healthy lifestyle through fitness and nutrition initiatives. Additionally, the university has been involved in research and community outreach programs aimed at addressing public health issues and promoting well-being in the broader community.
